Breaking news

We are delighted to share that Patrick Reich and Eliot Makabu, founders of EV charging point aggregator Bonnet, one of our pilot companies for the Activate Foundation Programme in early 2020, have just raised a new funding round of £920,000. Many congratulations! We look forward to watching your continued success in making life easier for electric vehicle drivers.

“Since the pilot programme with Activate, we have managed to sign some big names as pilot clients and raise our first institutional round. Activate definitely prepared us for these achievements, as we learned a great deal from them about investor readiness and how to position ourselves in our respective market.” Patrick Reich, Bonnet Founder

A huge shout out to Robert and James at Plend, graduates of our Winter 2020 cohort, who have just announced that they have successfully raised £700,000 in equity investment from early-stage VC’s Tomahawk, Ascension, and Haatch, as well as backing from NBS Ventures, a part of Nationwide Building Society’s Incubator. Looking forward to watching them revolutionise personal lending and end financial exclusion!

Big congratulations are also in order for Leo and Aaron, founders of Better Universal Grub, that's BUG to you and me! Edible insects are a sustainable, delicious, superfood and BUG is on a mission to take them mainstream. Yes, the kits are very tasty! Graduates of our Winter 2020 cohort, they have been incredibly busy this summer, raising a £390,000 pre-seed round led by EPIC Private Equity, and through Crowdcube. Even better, they have been testing the latest, greatest BUG recipe kits for you, in beta this year. Look our for their launch in November and sign up here to find out more.
