Your Business Model and Financial Projections: How are you going to make money? How much do you need for expenses? Need Fundraising? A business model is how a company makes money in a specific market, and it can evolve over time. There are many different business model options, depending on your product/service, market, expenses, and path to profitability. Some online and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) businesses use a freemium model — consider free Zoom versus the more robust paid versions of Zoom. Microsoft has evolved its sale of Office to a subscription model from a bundling software model in 1989. Printer companies sell the printers close to cost and make their money on the ink, a.k.a. the razor-razorblade model.
